Currently serving as the Business Editor of Kuwait Times, the oldest English language newspaper in the Middle East, he holds a pivotal role in shaping the publication’s Business section. Across his extensive 26-year career as a journalist in Kuwait, Sajeev has crafted an impressive body of work for the newspaper, predominantly centered on business themes. From embodying the complex characters of ‘Kallan Kayariya Veedu’ by Omchery to delving into the surreal realms of ‘Beyond Hattamala Land’ by Badal Sircar, his performances have stirred hearts and minds alike.
Classics like ‘Waiting for Godot’ by Samuel Beckett and inventive adaptations such as ‘Kayantharanam,’ a poignant take on Franz Kafka’s ‘The Metamorphosis,’ bear testimony to his creativity and dedication to the art. As a theatre actor, his accomplishments include performances in blockbuster play ‘Ningalenne Communistakki’ (Thoppil Bhasi), presented in Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy’s regional theatre in Thrissur for KANA Kuwait, ‘Othello’ (William Shakespeare) and ‘Vairam’ (Hemantkumar).
Sajeev’s artistic journey extends far beyond the spotlight; he has wielded his directorial prowess to breathe life into productions like ‘Oru Puzhayil, Oru Ilayil Oru Urump’ by Sunil K Cherian and has penned original works like the enchanting children’s play ‘Anathapuriyile Odakkuzhal Vidvan’ for Future Eye Little Ensemble.
